Fishing

Fishing focuses on catching fish and other aquatic organisms, such as aquatic plants and crustaceans, from water bodies. It also covers all kinds of fishing gear and related techniques.

The use of fish stocks (issuance of fishing cards) as well as the restoration of spawning grounds and the protection of protected fish (hink, wiggle, thrush, asp, grayling, catfish, sturgeon) is carried out by aquatic specialists of the Hunting and Aquatic Life Bureau at the Environmental Board:

The main task in the field of aquatic life is to solve issues related to aquatic life and aquatic habitats, as well as to organize and supervise the protection of protected fish (hink, wobbly, shoals, asp, grayling, catfish, sturgeon) and the use of fish stocks (issuance of fishing maps).

In addition, fishermen are advised on fishing management and restrictions by e-mail and telephone.

To this end, the Environmental Board:

  • draw up species action plans for protected fish species,
  • order inventories,
  • issue fishing licenses to restricted fishing grounds,
  • issue permits for the introduction of fish,
  • supervises,
  • orders restorations of aquatic habitats and
  • previous studies.
