If the need to submit a financial security or a letter of guarantee to the Environmental Board has become clear, take into account the following steps:
- Find out how much waste is currently permitted to be stored simultaneously in compliance with the valid environmental permit (waste permit) or you are planning to store in compliance with the new permit (see Table 3 of the waste permit issued before 2020).
- Read the price list depending on the types and materials of the waste and fill in the calculation table for the financial security. If necessary, ask your permit manager or regional waste specialist for advice.
- Submit your own calculation to the permit manager or regional waste specialist for examination.
- Get confirmation that the calculation is correct.
- Contact the bank for getting a written confirmation of a letter of guarantee or transfer the amount to the bank account of the Ministry of Finance (you will receive the data from the permit manager or regional waste specialist).
- Submit a document certifying the financial security in the information system KOTKAS either with an existing permit, a registration amendment application or a new application.
