The Environmental Board’s Client Council was established in 2011. Made up of representatives of the board’s clients, the council is an advisory body which discusses and comes to a shared view on the development of services and issues related to them.
The council’s members are people who come into contact with the services offered by the board on a daily basis.
It is important to the Environmental Board to obtain feedback from its clients and to gauge their views on changes and on how well the services offered by the board function.
The Environmental Board merged with the former Environmental Inspectorate on 1 January 2021. A new format for the merged agency’s Client Council is to be decided on in early 2021.
