The Nature Park is an ideal place for rest for hikers. Several hiking trails have been prepared for them:

The Pühajärve Hiking Trail (12 km; 3-6 hours) offers a discovery journey in the near surroundings of one of the most exceptional lakes in Estonia. The Pühajärve Hiking Trail is one of the oldest in Estonia and it is based on the trail compiled in 1975 by Linda Tammeoru, who was the head forester of the Pühajärve forest district at that time. The hikers must take account of the fact that a part of the trail (ca. 2.2 km) runs on a footpath at the side of the Otepää-Kääriku Road.

The Pühajärve Sensation Trail (1.5 km; ca. 1 hour) on the southern shore of Lake Pühajärv provides an opportunity for broadening one’s knowledge of nature through different senses.

Kekkonen’s Trail (14 km) provides an opportunity for hiking on forest paths in the surroundings of Kääriku and visit the Harimäe observation tower (the height being 28 m) next to the trail. Kekkonen’s Trail is aimed at hikers in summer and skiers in winter. In summer, it is possible to cycle on the trail as well.
